  • Welcome to Rehearsals: The Work Before the Show

Every great show is built somewhere else first — in a rehearsal room, a warehouse, a studio, or a theatre nobody is watching.

Rehearsals is where that work gets covered. We will follow bands and artists as they prepare for tours, album releases, awards shows, and televised performances: what they run, what they cut, how the arrangements change, and how new members are worked into old songs.

We will also follow the gear. What an artist practices on is often not what they tour with, and that difference is a story in itself — practice amps and modelers, silent stages and in-ears, the rehearsal kit versus the show rig, and the settings that turn all of it into a recognisable sound.

And because rehearsal only matters when it leads somewhere, every story here connects to a next live date: a tour opening, a residency, an album-release show, or a performance on television.

Our first coverage starts with awards season: the CMA Awards in Nashville on November 18, 2026, and the Grammy nominations on November 16, 2026, which set up the Grammy Awards on February 7, 2027. From there we follow the tours already announced for 2027 and the rehearsals that will shape them.

Welcome in. The band is just getting started.
